Koni Jordan (born 1977) is a trained polygraph, media designer
and graphic designer. He practices the profession of a polygraph in second generation: His father, also a huge art
lover and collector, had been a polygraph with his own studio and graphic designer before.
Koni Jordan worked many years as media designer and graphic designer for advertisement agencies and in the marketing department of companies in Germany as well as in Switzerland.
He completed further training to become a screen designer and specialist for desktop publishing at the “Akademie für Neue Medien”, Ludwigsburg. Since 2008 Jordan has been living with his wife in Zurich.
Having been shaped by a working environment that is increasingly determined by computers/applications, graphic programs and software for everyone, in 2010 Jordan began to counterweigh that in an arty way with his conviction of the “analogization of the digital world”: He responds to the randomness of an over-digitalized world with his analogly created graphics as an independent arts form.
His first creation with the title “Bauhaus“ came into being in autumn 2011. At that time, Jordan used only acryl and permanent marker. Later he started using industrial materials, among them wood and polystyrene.
Since 2014 he also works with airbrush on canvas which is a greater challenge for him as the surfaces are of classic linen structure.
Koni Jordan opened his first exhibition in September 2016 in the Prime Tower Zurich.
